The mission of the committee will be to develop communications strategies for the Order in its social media and website platforms and for creating guidance for individual Archons who are making parish and Metropolis educational presentations.

He participated in two pilgrimages to the Ecumenical Patriarchate (in 2006 and in 2009) and he was the motorcade coordinator for the visit of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the US in November 2009.

Archon Blazakis is a member of Fellowship 1000 of the Holy Metropolis of New Jersey. He was also responsible for the transportation of the Archbishop of Crete (2010).

Archon Blazakis is a retired Chief of Police in Somerset County, NJ.

Justin K. Bozonelis of the Holy Trinity Archdiocesan Cathedral in Manhattan, NY, was invested as Archon in 2017 and conferred with the offikion Kastrinsios.

Archon Bozonelis is a member of Leadership 100, where he serves on the Board of Directors and on the Grants Committee. He has extensively participated in the life of the Archdiocesan Cathedral, beginning during his college years and thereafter, including his service on the Cathedral Board. He has also frequently chaired fundraising events for the Cathedral and worked with the youth.

Archon Bozonelis is a Managing Director of a large financial services company. He is the son of Archon Ekdikos Theodore Bozonelis.

A parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim, California, the Hon. Steven G. Counelis was invested as an Archon by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on October 31, 2021 and conferred with the offikion Nomophylax.

Archon Hon. Counelis is Judge of the Superior Court of the State of California in the County of Riverside. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government, and with his Juris Doctor degree, from the University of San Francisco. As a college student, he served at the United States Supreme Court, in the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Justice. Prior to being elected to the Superior Court in 2010, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for seventeen years. He has also served in a number of parish leadership roles. In 2016 he was elected by the Metropolis Assembly to serve on the Metropolis Council, and has done so to the present. Archon Counelis and his wife Stacia have served as the Conference Advisors to the Young Adult League (YAL) Conference Ministry of the Metropolis of San Francisco since its renaissance in 2018, and continue to guide in the execution and planning of the annual Conference.

Prof. Dr. George E. Demacopoulos of St. Paraskevi in Greenlawn, NY, was invested as Archon in 2010 and conferred with the offikion Didaskalos tou Genous. He participated in the 2006 pilgrimage to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. His research resulted in the return to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of the relics of St. Gregory the Theologian and St. John Chrysostom from Vatican. He also coordinated the award by Fordham University of its highest honor, the Honorary Doctorate of Laws to His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in 2009.

Archon Demacopoulos has served on various parish committee ministries of St Paraskevi. He has also been a frequent guest lecturer on Orthodoxy at clergy and lay gatherings of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

Archon Demacopoulos graduated with a BA from the University of Tennessee, with an MTS in Theology from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and with an MA and a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently the Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair of Orthodox Christian Studies at Fordham University. He is also the Co-Director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at the same University. He specializes in the History of Christianity for Late Antiquity, the Early Medieval West, and Byzantium. He is the author of many books, articles and academic presentations on Orthodoxy.

James B. Gabriel, Jr. of Church of Our Saviour in Rye, NY, was invested as Archon in 2009 and conferred with the offikion Ostiarios.

Archon Gabriel served for many years on the Parish Council at Church of the Holy Resurrection in Brookville, NY, as member and president. In addition, he has served on the Archdiocesan Council (since 2010), the Direct Archdiocesan District Council (1996-1998 & since 2012), the Direct Archdiocesan Youth Committee (as chair, since 2012), the IOCC Metropolitan Council (2002-2004), the St. Basil Academy Board of Trustees (1986-88, 1999-2000), and has co-chaired the GOYAL Committee for St Basil (1985-1988).

Archon Gabriel is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in Applied Mathematics (1981) and a of NYU with an MS in Computer Science (1985). He has served as Vice President, Information Technology for Goldman, Sachs & Co. since 1989.

Archon Koumoutsos is a major benefactor of his parish and of the Holy Metropolis of New Jersey.

Archon Koumoutsos was elevated to the important position of Director of Security for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, overseeing—among other tasks—the security for the New York area airports and the site of the St. Nicholas National Shrine, next to the 9/11 Memorial.

Archon Koutsoupis dedicates much of his time to Church outreach programs. For example, he arranges transportation to the Divine Liturgy, and other Church services, for retirees or winter residents from the North, who otherwise would not be able to attend church services.

Archon Koutsoupis, who previously served as a detective in New York City, is in the law enforcement profession and now serves on the staff of the Florida Attorney General.

Emmanuel "Mike" A. Manatos of the St. George Church in Bethesda, M.D., was invested as Archon on 10/22/2006 and conferred with the offikion name Dikaiophylax. He was the Order's first third generation Archon, preceded by his grandfather, Mike Manatos, and father, Andrew Manatos. He is President of Manatos & Manatos, described by the Washington Post as "one of Washington's most powerful lobbying firms."

Archon Manatos serves on the Executive Board of Leadership 100, has served on the Archdiocesan Council of the Greek Orthodox Church of America since 2008, and has severed on his parish council several times. He served as Conference Chairman of the 3rd Archons International Conference on Religious Freedom: “The Persecution of Christians in the Holy Lands and Middle East, Consequences and Solutions,” December 4-6, 2017 in Washington, DC. In 2014 he served on the team that coordinated the historic Apostolic Pilgrimage of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Frances to Jerusalem and the Holy Land. He serves on the board of several other national Hellenic organizations including the National Hellenic Society and the National Hellenic Student Association.

During his 28-year career as a federal lobbyist, he has devoted much of his time, on a pro-bono basis, to protect and promote the religious freedom of the Ecumenical Patriarchate with the most influential US policymakers in the US Congress, White House, State Department and other agencies. He also arranges meetings for the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of America and other church leaders with various high-level US government officials.

Born in Washington, D.C., he has lived in the D.C. metropolitan area all of his life. He is married to Laura Evans Manatos and they have three children: Sienna, Andrea and Lucas.

John J. Mindala II, Archon Notarios, of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Southampton, NY, has been using his talents as a graphic designer to serve the needs of the Archon Office of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America for over 12 years. He has been involved in Church administration and design his entire professional career.

Having graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design, Mindala has specialized in providing design services ranging from logos, invitations, reports, newsletters, backdrops, websites, meeting collateral and decor, photography and much more. He is also President of Mindala Design which provides similar creative services.

During his career as a designer, Mindala has served on several church, gala, and conference committees. He has designed material for three Archon International Conferences on Religious Freedom, held in Brussels 2010, Berlin 2013, and Washington D.C. 2017. In 2014, he served on the team that coordinated the historic Apostolic Pilgrimage of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Francis to Jerusalem and the Holy Land. He also designed the graphic details for the Holy and Great Council held in Crete 2016. Additionally, Mindala has been involved in preparations for ten Athenagoras Human Rights Award banquets.

Prior to his time at Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, he served in similar responsibilities for the the Orthodox Church in America, in Syosset, New York. As a photographer, he had the extraordinary privilege to capture historic moments in the life of the Church, most notably during official visits to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, the Patriarchates of Alexandria, Jerusalem, Moscow, Georgia, as well as the Churches of Greece, Poland, Czech Lands and Slovakia, Finland and Ukraine.

Christopher J. Pappas of Annunciation Cathedral in Houston, was invested as Archon in 2008 and conferred with the offikion Prostatis Ton Grammaton. He has been very active in the ministries of the parish and a member of Leadership 100.

A graduate of the University of Texas with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Archon Pappas, is President and CEO of Luby’s, Inc., a public company which owns and operates 128 restaurants in Texas and adjoining states. Along with his brother, Harris, he also owns and operates the Pappas Seafood restaurants in the Houston area.

Archon Pappas and his wife, Maria, were married in 1979 and have five children.
