This committee will be responsible for drafting and submitting editorials for publication in all print and online media at any time it is determined necessary to communicate support or disagreement with, or to clarify, respond to or correct news articles or editorial opinions relating in any way with the Ecumenical Patriarchate and with related religious freedom issues.

Archon Damianakis received the Medal of St. Paul GOARCH, for service to the YAL, as Archdiocesan Conference Chairman (1987), Archangel Michael Medal, Holy Metropolis of Atlanta; served as US Delegate to the Millennium International Clergy-Laity-Conference, Constantinople (2000). Participates in frequent Archon pilgrimages to the Ecumenical Patriarchate: Historic Return of the Relics (2004); witnessed visitations of Pope Benedict (2006); Pope Francis (2014); several official Archon trips; Smyrna, Cappadocia, Ankara, Jerusalem, Sinai.
Archon Elias attended two Synaxis of Orthodox Primates Sunday of Orthodoxy (2014) Constantinople; celebrated several historic events in Constantinople: Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of His All Holiness’ elevation to the Ecumenical Throne (2011). Participated in several International Religious Freedom Symposiums: EU Parliament Brussels (2010); Washington DC, (2017); joined His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros on his historic return to Constantinople (2019)

Archon Damianakis is an internationally renowned Master Iconographer. He lectures and offered Master Classes around the world: Athens, London, Moscow and St Petersburg, Russia… Taught iconography at Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology and founded the School of Iconography. Elias and his wife, Angela (Psychotherapist, LCSW), grew up at Holy Trinity, Hicksville, NY married in 1991. They have three children Theophani (son-in-law, Stylianos Sarigiannis), Stavronikitas (daughter-in-law Kristen Karavantos-Love) all four graduates of HCHC, and Euphemia (12).

Archon Demacopoulos has served on various parish committee ministries of St Paraskevi. He has also been a frequent guest lecturer on Orthodoxy at clergy and lay gatherings of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
Archon Demacopoulos graduated with a BA from the University of Tennessee, with an MTS in Theology from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and with an MA and a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently the Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair of Orthodox Christian Studies at Fordham University. He is also the Co-Director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at the same University. He specializes in the History of Christianity for Late Antiquity, the Early Medieval West, and Byzantium. He is the author of many books, articles and academic presentations on Orthodoxy.

Archon Gabriel served for many years on the Parish Council at Church of the Holy Resurrection in Brookville, NY, as member and president. In addition, he has served on the Archdiocesan Council (since 2010), the Direct Archdiocesan District Council (1996-1998 & since 2012), the Direct Archdiocesan Youth Committee (as chair, since 2012), the IOCC Metropolitan Council (2002-2004), the St. Basil Academy Board of Trustees (1986-88, 1999-2000), and has co-chaired the GOYAL Committee for St Basil (1985-1988).
Archon Gabriel is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in Applied Mathematics (1981) and a of NYU with an MS in Computer Science (1985). He has served as Vice President, Information Technology for Goldman, Sachs & Co. since 1989.

Archon Kafarakis has served as a steward at 14 various Greek Orthodox parishes across the country during his years of being promoted professionally while pursuing a distinguished 35 year career in the food industry. Since his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1963, he has remained a major benefactor, devoted contributor and loyal steward to his home parish of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek of Washington D.C. especially during the recent construction of the new church edifice in Silver Spring, M.D.. Phil is also a member of Leadership100 and a supporter of the Hellenic Initiative.
Living in New York City with his wife Kathy, Phil is currently the President of the Specialty Food Association. A non-profit trade industry group representing the more than $140 Billion specialty food business and its more than 4,000-member companies. The organization owns and produces the world-renowned Fancy Food Shows as well as an integrated global media platform that serves emerging food businesses internationally. Archon Kafarakis’ four adult children living in Arizona and Washington D.C.
